Lady in pink

It wasn’t a difficult decision to make, I mean the color – PINK. I am very comfortable with pastel colors, give me blue and I will be even happier. But for pink – it’s a sweet color, pleasing to the eyes. And … satisfaction from getting something that you really like is – Priceless!

Unfortunately her best companion went for a spa so no more baking this weekend.

Thanks! yes … love her very much 🙂

  3. Ooh i am so jealous! I’ve been hawking after one of these for ages- pouring hot sugar syrup into my plastic mixer bowl always scares me. Congrats on your new gorgeous kitchen addition!

  4. Bernice says:

Wow, I love the pink, it’s adorable!!! Hope you have fun with the new toy (which I bet YOU WILL)! Am so jealous. lol

  5. Robyn says:

Congrats on being a new KitchenAid owner! I have a red one, hehe. Enjoy your mixer. 🙂

Hi thecoffeesnob, it’s worth investing in one 🙂 I read that they could be used for years! Pouring hot liquid into plastic is really worrying, that’s why my next item to purchase is a glass jug, I think it will be handy to melt butter, chocolate in the microwave, easier to manage with a handle and pouring of hot liquid will be safer too. I keep thinking that the plastic measuring jug I’m using will crack whenever I pour hot water inside!

  7. Elyn says:

Hi Bernice, thanks 🙂 Looking at how it work has already sent a happy frequency around! No need to get jealous 🙂 Work hard and own one of it! Which color would you have prefer?

  8. Elyn says:

Hi Robyn, thanks for dropping by! Empire Red looks really good too but I thought the color is too strong for me so I choose a pink instead.

Hey Elyn, I’ve still got years to go before I can finally lay my hands on this precious toy! Will love to have either red or pink, both are my favourtie colours! Oh gosh, I’m talking as if I am really getting it. lol 😀

hi elyn! may i know where u got yr kitchenaid? is it from mayer? i’ve been considering between this & kenwood patissier and still cant decide. i just went to mayer’s site, they selling $899, i rem it was $749 not long ago. wonder why they increased the price so much 😦

  11. Elyn says:

Hi Evan, I got mine from Tangs. Yes … KA price went up last from S$749 to S$899 which is quite a lot.

  12. lorrine says:

Hi Elyn, when I got my red KA, it was $639, with a free Haagen Dazs ice-cream cake but that was 2 years ago, hee hee ! I brought the mixer all the way to KK, phew, that was heavy, 15kg ! I find that the 5L capacity is too small for kneading bread dough with more than 400g of flour & it gets too hot after abt 15 mins. So I save my precious KA for small tasks, got a commercial type 8L mixer for rough jobs……..

  13. gina says:

Elyn, you will never go wrong with a KA mixer. Look at my old faithful. 3 years old and still going strong. I use it to do ice cream too. And even to whip boiling hot orr nee(yam) into a smooth paste before frying it up with onion oil and sugar. But I bought the white one..the heavy duty one..no choice of colours:(!

  14. Lim Yen Li says:

    Hi Elyn,
Is the kitchehaid good for kneading bread dough?
Do you think it’s more powerful than a kenwood chef or major? Thinking of getting a mixer but can’t decide on which to buy. Thanks!

  15. Diana says:

    Oh…how about your old mixer?

  16. Elyn says:

Hi Diana, have sold my old mixer.
