Mango Snowskin with Mango Lotus Paste Mooncakes

I could not wait to start making mooncakes again 🙂 A fren drop by to learn how to make snowskin mooncakes so we make a batch of Pandan Snowskin with White Lotus Paste filling and Durian Snowskin with Durian Lotus Paste. It’s really fun to do it together and she went home with a box of mooncakes and also ready to begin her own mooncake making session!

Another fren join me for mooncake ingredients shopping session today, we tried so many types of mooncake paste from white wine with grape, pomelo, corn and aside from the “must-buy” white lotus paste and durian, we added mango lotus paste to our basket! I wanted to try out new flavours this year and is surprise that Mango is pretty refreshing, the snowskin is also flavour with mango essence.

The above are Green – Pandan Snowskin with White Lotus Paste, White – Durian Snowskin with Durian Lotus Paste and the new addition – Mango Snowskin with Mango Lotus Paste, this pattern plate remain to be my favourite! I know it’s a little early but these are pack to giveaway to a very good fren and I hope she will like it 🙂

Hi Elyn, your mooncakes all look so nice and yummy.. I made the snowskin mooncake last night. I notices that the paste i bought from phoon huat harden after a day in the fridge unlike the mooncake that bought from outside. What is the different between white lotus paste and the normal lotus paste?

  18. Elyn says:

Hi YS, thank you for kind words. Sorry, I din try PH’s paste this year but I do not have that problem with Kwang Cheong Thye’s paste. What I understand that white lotus paste has no caramel whilst the normal has.
