Snowskin Mooncake with Chocolate Truffle

Continuing my trial for new mooncake flavours, I have here – Banana Snowskin with White Lotus Paste and Chocolate Truffle in the middle, what a mouthful 🙂 I like the Peach Color, thought it’s so sweet!

I don’t have big mooncake moulds so you could imagine the fairly big truffle trying to squeeze into the medium size mould. I really love the white lotus paste I got this year, it’s not sweet and has the melt-in-mouth texture that I don’t mind. Despite making so many of them, it’s usually my family and colleagues who eat them 😛 The sweet-bitterness of the truffle actually balance out the sweetness of the mooncake which gives a whole new flavour to the usual snowskin mooncake 🙂

It’s been raining the whole day and I don’t have sufficient light for photoshoot, it also makes me feel lazy …

Elyn, you’ve been tempting me with all those pretty mooncakes, I’ve not have mooncakes from Sin for years !!

Hi Bentoist, thank you for your kind words 🙂

Hi Chinee, yes .. manage to squeeze in the truffle. The truffle is 10g so just minus away the weight from the lotus paste. Nope, I didn’t use the soft flour so I can’t help but I do rem the last time I read that it’s about 5% of your kaofen.

Hi Lorrine, dun need to envy, make your own 🙂 Home made goodies are always better than store bought!
