Almond Snowskin Mooncake

Schedules are once again crazy! Work is very very pack that see me taking cab home every night, I’m sure the taxi uncle is very happy cos it’s one end of the island to another. On the personal side – emails to reply daily, packing packages to send out, working with suppliers to send out shipment and the target to paint my 12 days of Christmas Patchwork. I’m also giving a thought on the course that I want to take. Sometimes I do wonder if I am too greedy to pack too many things. There isn’t a time that I find myself nothing to do, it’s one after another like train carriages. Nevertheless, it’s a very fulfilling weekend I have. I bought my initial mooncake ingredients, I pack packages to send out, I went to the salon after delaying for weeks, I did deliveries, I make my 1st set of Yr 2010 mooncakes! And while typing this entry, I am already thinking to bake a loaf of cake for nephew as snack. No .. definitely not complaining cos I do enjoy what I am doing but I do wish I have all the energy I need!

This is something new this year – Almond Snowskin Mooncake with Almond Lotus Paste. The skin is flavoured with Nielsen Massey Almond Extract and of course Almond Lotus Paste.

The scent and flavour is like eating Almond Beancurd? I won’t say it’s funny and it’s actually quite nice. There is a nice almond aftertaste 🙂

* I won’t be sharing the recipe*
Thank you for your understanding.

  1. Elyn, I love the color of almond lotus paste, looks so contrast with the white snow skin. My home and office also one end of the other, I used to take cab back home everyday until I surrender, too costly liao 😛
